CR-POSSUM is one of the most used surgical scores to predict mortality after colorectal surgery. Its main drawback is the requirement of intraoperative variables, whose collection is time-consuming and prevents from obtaining a purely preoperative risk assessment. The primary aim of the study is to develop a new surgical score using preoperative parameters to predict 30-day mortality after colon cancer surgery in the elderly population. The secondary objective is to analyze its efficacy compared to CR-POSSUM.

Patients aged 80 and older undergoing surgery for colon cancer from 2011 to 2017 in an Italian hospital were retrospectively selected. MECC score \[Mortality in Elderly patients with Colon Cancer\] was calculated summing up the scores relating to: arterial saturation of O2, Systolic Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, WBCs, Albumin, Creatinine. Once CR-POSSUM was calculated, the two scores were compared.

The aim of this study is to establish a selection criteria of hepatectomy for patients with multiple hepatocellular carcinomas based on the NDR Scoring System

Multiple hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs) accounts for 60% to 70% of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.However,the selection criteria of hepatectomy for patients with multiple HCCs remains controversial.Researches have suggested that part of the patients with multiple HCCs can also benefit from hepatectomy.But,expanding the selection criteria for hepatectomy will increase tumor recurrence rates and reduce the therapeutic effect, more stringent selection criteria will also make part of the patients who should take hepatectomy lose the operation chance. This is a difficult problem in the research of this field.The Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) system recommends that stage A (number ≤ 3, largest diameter ≤ 3 cm) were suitable for liver resection.However, increasing reports on good outcome after hepatectomy for patients with multiple HCCs have been published.Studies on clonal origin suggest that hepatectomy is a better treatment for multiple HCCs from multicentric origin (MO) than that from intrahepatic metastasis (IM) and the 5-year overall survival rates is 24% to 58%.The investigators established a scoring system(NDR score; N, tumor number; D, total tumor diameter; R, ratio of largest/smallest diameter) based on preoperative data which can accurately predict postoperative long-term survival of patients with multiple HCCs.The formula is as follows: 1×N（N: \>3=1; ≤3= 0）+ 2×D（D: \>8cm = 1; ≤8cm= 0）+ 1×R（R: \>6 = 1; ≤6= 0）.The investigators first propose a selection criteria of hepatectomy for patients with multiple HCCs based on this scoring system. Patients with a NDR score 0-2 are recommended for hepatectomy and can benefit from the surgery,and because of the unsatisfied outcome,patients with a NDR score more than 2 are not recommended for hepatectomy.The stringent selection criteria should be expanded so that more patients can benefit from hepatectomy,and the less stringent criteria should be limited to ensure curative effect.So,the investigators' NDR scoring system was more accurate in selecting patients with multiple HCCs for hepatectomy and this article was published on Ann Surg Oncol（2015，22:826）.In order to further confirm the rationality of this selection criteria,the investigators would like to propose a prospective randomized controlled study.

KP Scoring Day Participants

Participants who attend the one-day scoring session in August 2022.

KP Follow-up Scoring (September)

Participants who attended the scoring day in August will be invited to attend a follow-up scoring session in September - October 2022. The purpose of this scoring session is to see how stable their condition is and take baseline photographs of their skin to monitor their condition.

Four assessors will score the participants in 5-minute intervals with the proposed scoring system KPAI and the KP-IGA. Participants will be offered free samples of Cerave Salicylic Acid Smoothing Cleanser and Cream to try.

KP Follow-up Scoring (November)

Participants who attend the September scoring session will be invited to return for another rescoring in November - December 2022 to see if there is any improvement in their KP and if the score is responsive to change.

Participants will be given free samples of Propaira 30% Urea exfoliating emollient and Propaira 20% Lactic acid exfoliating lotion to try.

KP Follow-up Scoring (December)

Participants who attend the November scoring session will be invited to return for another rescoring in December 2022 to monitor their progress, and see if there is any improvement in their KP and if the score is responsive to change.

This validation study aims to develop a standardised investigator global assessment (IGA) score for keratosis pilaris and test the validity and reliability of the score through a one-day scoring exercise held at a private practice and compare it to a standard 0-4 IGA score specifically defined for keratosis pilaris.

This is a prospective validation study aiming to develop and validate a standardised IGA score for KP. Firstly, a preliminary score will be developed using deidentified photos of patients with KP. These photos will only be used to create the training slide for the assessors. The proposed score, Keratosis Pilaris Area Index (KPAI), is a 5-point IGA score (0-4) of five main body areas: face, upper limbs, lower limbs, trunk, and buttocks, for a maximum of 20 in two main categories, activity (erythema, skin roughness and papulation) and damage (pigmentation and scarring). The final score will be a maximum of 100. This will be compared to a standard 0-4 IGA score, defined specifically for KP, known as a KP-IGA.

The one-day scoring exercise has been modified from the Epidermolysis Bullosa Disease Activity and Scarring Index (EBDASI) validation (Loh et al., 2014). It will take place at Premier Specialists, Kogarah, Sydney with all co-investigators conducting the study in person at this single study site. Each dermatologist and medical professional involved will receive training on using the scores through a slideshow of training photos prior to the live scoring session. Five dermatologists and four medical professionals will be randomly assigned to assess 20 KP patients in 5-minute intervals, using the proposed scoring system, KPAI, and the KP-IGA score. This data will be used to assess inter-rater reliability.

Each dermatologist or medical professional will be randomly assigned to rescore two patients after seeing other patients to minimise recall bias. The randomisation will be done by an investigator who is uninvolved in the scoring session and has had no interaction with both patients and assessors. Data gathered from this section is used to determine intra-rater reliability.

Every participant will also complete two QOL questionnaires: the DLQI/CDLQI and HADS. This data will be used to provide insight of patient's subjective perceptions of KP and the psychological impact it may have on them.

Participants who attended the scoring day will be invited to attend a follow-up scoring session in September - October 2022. The purpose of this scoring session is to see how stable their condition is and take baseline photographs of their skin to monitor their condition.

Development and Validation of an Investigator Global Assessment Score for Keratosis Pilaris

This study aims to develop and validate an IGA score for evaluating KP (KPAI) by determining the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability through testing the composite IGA score on patients and comparing it to a standard 0-4 IGA that will be defined specifically for KP.

The secondary aim of the study is to explore the impact KP may have on patients' QOL by using the (Child) Dermatology Life Quality (DLQI/CDLQI) Index questionnaires.

The secondary aim of the study is to explore the impact KP may have on patients' QOL by using the hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) questionnaires.

Diagnosing the nutritional status of cancer patients is extremely important. An appropriate nutritional status supports a better tolerance to the treatment. A working protocol is essential to start with Nutritional Screening. If it is detected Malnutrition Risk or Malnutrition, diet counseling, and the specific therapeutic for each patient must be provided.

This descriptive study will serve three aims:

* Register in the cancer patient's electronic medical record their nutritional status at the admission and when the patient is discharged.
* Determine the percentage of malnourished patients or in the risk of malnutrition who are admitted to hospitalization.
* Recognize the number of patients that required specialized nutritional care.

The purpose of this study is to determine if 30% of the patients admitted to the headquarters of SOLCA in Guayaquil from the Ecuadorian Cancer Society are at malnutrition risk or with any specific malnutrition level.

A prospective, descriptive, non-interventional study that will be performed from July 1st to October 4th of 2019 in all hospitalized patients of the Internal Medicine Service from SOLCA in Guayaquil from the Ecuadorian Cancer Society.

Statistical analysis: Central tendency measures. The results will be presented with tables and graphs.

Two weeks before the start of the study, the training of the personnel that will intervene in the screening of the participants will be carried out and will have a flow chart of actions to follow according to the status of patients.
