For each participant presenting with a suspicious nasopharyngeal lesion, the attending physician will assess the lesion and determine the appropriate biopsy approach. The physician may decide on multiple biopsies from the lesion area, including one sample from within the lesion itself, another from 5-8 mm outside the lesion, and a third from 8-10 mm beyond the lesion. Alternatively, a single biopsy may be deemed sufficient based on the clinical judgment. Each of these specimens will undergo pathological examination to confirm whether they are carcinomatous or non-carcinomatous.

Due to the occult anatomic location of the nasopharynx and frequent presence of adenoid hyperplasia, the positive rate for nasopharyngeal carcinoma identification during biopsy is low, thus leading to delayed or missed diagnosis for nasopharyngeal carcinoma upon initial attempt. Here, we aimed to develop an artificial intelligence tool to detect nasopharyngeal malignancies and guide biopsy under endoscopic examination based on deep learning.

For each participant exhibiting suspicious lesions during a nasopharyngeal endoscopy examination, the attending physician will determine the appropriate biopsy strategy based on the specific conditions of the lesion. The physician may opt for a single biopsy, taking a sample directly from within the lesion, or multiple biopsies, which would include one sample from inside the lesion, another from 5-8 mm outside the lesion, and a third from 8-10 mm outside the lesion. This decision will be grounded in clinical judgment and a comprehensive consideration of optimal diagnostic outcomes and patient safety.

Each participant with gastric cancer will undergo enhanced CT examination for detection of peritoneal metastasis. Within two weeks of CT examination, the participant will undergo diagnostic laparoscopy to confirm the status of peritoneal metastasis.

Peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer is difficult to be detected in time, thus delaying treatment. Based on the conventional CT images of gastric cancer, this study plans to develop, improve and validate an intelligent analysis system based on radiomics. By extracting and combining the radiomics features related to peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer, the intelligent analysis system could predict the risk of peritoneal metastasis, and provide personalized decision suggestions for the treatment of gastric cancer.

All patients receive FIT test and colonoscopy, whose age, sex, family history, smoking history, body mass index (BMI), diabetes and other risk factors are collected by researchers through pad, equipped with a specially designed database and app. Using colonoscopy results as the gold standard, the diagnostic value of risk prediction model for the Chinese population is explored, and the optimal strategy of colonoscopy practice for the Chinese established initially.

During the polypectomy of 2000 patients, for all pathologically confirmed or NBI-predicted adenomas with size\<10mm, 1-2 biopsies were randomly performed on the edge after resection to determine the completion rate of the polypectomy.

For 12000 patients regardless of cancer diagnosis or polypectomy, if there is polyp, NBI (magnification) observation is required, with 4 white light and NBI images collected and reserved, respectively. If there is magnifying endoscopy, another 4 endoscopic images of magnification are also required. Endoscopists are invited to predict the pathology of polyps according to the NICE classification principle and endoscopic images, and upload the pathological results and endoscopic images within 2-4 week after colonoscopy.

All included patients received FIT test and then colonoscopy, with the risk factors of CRC recorded. The diagnostic performance of predicting model (based on FIT and risk factors) and colonoscopy were compared.

All included patients received polypectomy, and then biopsy is performed on the edge of resection for patients with \< 10 mm adenoma (confirmed by pathology or predicted by NBI images), with the complete resection rate of polyps being calculated.

Pathology of polyps is classified by endoscopists through NICE principle and the performance of classification between endoscopists and computer is compared.

This study has three main purposes：screening: the first purpose is to evaluate the diagnostic value of combintion of the life risk factors and immunochemical fecal occult blood test (FIT) on detection of colorectal neoplasia in Chinese population; resection: the second objective is to investigate the complete resection rate of colorectal adenoma and risk factors of incomplete resection in China; identification and classification: the third objective is to initially establish an artificial intelegence-assissted recognition and classification system of polyp based on deep learning.

This study is a multi-center cross-sectional survey and diagnostic test led by the National Clinical Research Center for Digestive Disease (Shanghai) (Department of Gastroenterology, Changhai Hospital, Naval Medical University), which is conducted at about 175 digestive endoscopy centers nationwide in China, with the expectation of including 12,000 patients (10,000 screenig and 2,000 adenoma resection). The basic characteristics of patients, bowel preparation method and quality, and related information of colonoscopy are recorded in detail. According to the research purpose, the whole project can be divided into three sections.

1. If there is magnifying endoscopy, another 4 endoscopic images of magnification are also required. Endoscopists are invited to predict the pathology of polyps according to the NBI International Colorectal Endoscopic (NICE) classification principle and endoscopic images, and upload the pathological results and endoscopic images within 2-4 week after colonoscopy.

The 198 cases of CP with primary surgery in our hospital (since July, 1997 until now) were divided into three topographical groups based on the pre-operative MRI, intraoperative findings and the tumor-membrane relationship. The presurgical manifestation, the different surgical approach, intraoperative techniques, and postoperative complication were described and analyzed to establish a normalized surgical treatment of individual CP patient, which has the highest rate of the totally tumoral resection and the lowest rate of the hypothalamic injury.

The anticipated 40 cases of CP were surgical treated by our standard procedure, which is recruited in the prospective cohort. With the long-term follow up, QOL including the cognition, circadian rhythm, endocrine, Water-Electrolyte, and body weight et al were evaluated to assess the rationality of the treatment. Then according to the results, the surgical treatment was modified, and the endocrinic substitution therapy was also been developed.

According to the presurgical MRI, with the analysis of the morphological characteristic of three subtype of CP, different surgical approach and intrasurgical skills were used to treat tumors with trying to total remove tumor and avoid the hypothalamus injury.

With the preliminary anatomical and histological study, the membranous structures of the sellar region was considered to be closely related with the growth pattern of Craniopharyngiomas(CP). By combined considering of the tumor-membrane relationship, this project was trying to classify the CP through retrospectively summarizing the pre- and postoperative imaging (MRI and CT), the intrasurgical findings, and the endocrine data of 198 CPs with primary surgery in our hospital (since 1997 until now). As a result, a distinct and systematic CP classification was proposed. The possible originate site, surgical skills and postoperative treatment of all the subtype tumors were discussed and analyzed to provide a normalized surgical treatment for this kind of tumor. Then in the prospective cohort, the anticipated 100 CP patients will accept the normalized surgical treatment. And by the long term follow up, the postsurgical quantity of life (QOL) of patients was evaluated with aspect in cognition, circadian rhythm, endocrine, Water-Electrolyte and body weight, et al. By comparing with the long-term results of the retrospective cohort, the totally follow up data was statistically analyzed to assess the rationality of this standard treatment of CP.
