Post market observational study recording data form patients with skin cancer treated with electronic brachytherapy. Treatment is standard of care, and can vary in dose and fractionation schedule from patient to patient depending on radiation oncologist's judgement for best treatment for the patient.

The objective of this study is to record recurrence in patients treated for nonmelanoma (basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas) skin cancer using the Xoft Axxent Electronic Brachytherapy System. Additional objectives include evaluate the appearance of the treated area in patients treated for nonmelanoma skin cancer using the Xoft Axxent Electronic Brachytherapy System and record the occurrence of radiation therapy related skin changes in patients treated for nonmelanoma skin cancer.

This is an observational study where prostate cancer related PROMs (EPIC-26) is collected using two different methods (by paper questionnaires and electronically) and patient experience and preference is asked.

Prostate cancer patients that are treated with radiation therapy for local prostate cancer receive EPIC-26 before treatment and during follow-up. EPIC-26 is collected both traditionally using paper questionnaires and electronically. Patients experience and preference for these are asked.

Subjects enrolled will undergo brachytherapy treatment in combination with EBRT. The maximum length of treatment will be 56 days. The treating physician will determine the appropriate course of treatment based on the physician's current practice or experience using Iridium-192 or Cesium HDR after-loaders to administer cervical brachytherapy treatments.

Subjects enrolled will be treated with approximately 80-90 Gy total treatment dose over 4-6 fractions. Examples of commonly used dose regimens in the US are listed in section 7.6.7. This study will include data collection from the initiation of EBRT through administration of the final Xoft Axxent treatment fraction, and at one (1) month and three (3) months.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, performance and usability of the Xoft Axxent Electronic Brachytherapy System and Cervical Applicator as incorporated into the physician's current standard treatment practice and in replacement of high-dose-rate after-loaders using Iridium-192 or low-dose-rate Cesium treatments. Data will be collected on treatment delivery, safety, and acute toxicity.

Our hypothesis is that the treatment is safe as incorporated into the physician's current standard of practice.

Feasibility Study of the Xoft® Axxent® Electronic Brachytherapy System for the Treatment of Cervical Cancer

To assess occurrence rate of radiation toxicities through three (3) months of follow-up.

Adverse event rate and severity during and following the administration of brachytherapy treatment, through discharge from the treatment facility, and for 3 months after treatment.

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer occurring in the UK. Treatment usually involves surgery, often with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. In some cases radiotherapy can be used instead of surgery, especially if surgery may cause a higher risk of symptoms or a colostomy bag. Currently, the medical team collects information on patients' symptoms before and after treatment by direct questions in a clinic setting. It's recognised that patient-reported symptoms often differ from doctor-documented symptoms. This leads to inaccuracies in doctors' descriptions of the effects of cancer or treatment to patients. Patients told us an accurate description of expected symptoms is important when they are choosing their treatment.

Patient-Reported outcomes measures (PROMs) may help us identify what affects the QoL after treatment and develop ways to improve it. The primary aim of the trial is to evaluate whether patients find it acceptable to use electronic data collection to assess their symptoms. Many bowel cancer patients are elderly and they may find electronic data system collection more challenging. The secondary aim is to identify which symptoms impact QoL. This will lead to the development of treatments to manage these symptoms which will be assessed in CITRuS2.

All patients diagnosed with bowel cancer are entered into the colorectal database to determine the effectiveness of cancer treatments and outcomes. Participants will electronically answer questionnaires at study entry and during follow up. The questions are related to health and well-being with a holistic approach. The questions will take approximately 45 minutes to answer the first time and then 15 minutes thereafter. Following consent, participants gain access to their clinical details on the database. Then they can use a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone to access a webpage and answer questions at monthly intervals over a 2 year period. Email reminders will be sent to prompt log on.

This may help discover how bowel cancer and its treatment affect patients and their lives. This may help doctors describe the effects of treatment more accurately to future patients. It may also help doctors identify which patients need extra help or support through their treatment. Electronic data may allow patterns to be identified that may not be seen by doctors until a later stage. This may enable earlier treatment resulting in less time with symptoms, which could be physically and economically beneficial.

Patients will answer questions at study entry and at set intervals during treatment and follow-up. The questions are related to health and well-being. The questionnaires are patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) which have been used in paper format in trials with many patients internationally.

The information the patients give us will help doctors describe treatment effects more accurately to future patients and to identify patients who may need extra support during or after their treatment. Electronic data collection allows patterns to be identified that may not be seen by doctors until a later stage. The symptoms identified in this study will be used to develop treatments that may benefit future patients. The electronic database will be used identify the need for intervention then to deliver the recommended treatments to patients automatically when they are identified. For example, if questionnaire responses show a patient has an unplanned loss of 3% of their body weight an information sheet on increasing calorie intake and eating well with a small appetite would be emailed to them and a dietician alerted so a follow up call could be made two weeks later.

This study assesses the feasibility and acceptability of a brief electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) tool that allows patients to self-identify impending delays. The risk of treatment delays according to tumor type and race will be measured by both ePRO and electronic health record (EHR) tools. Data from this study and the association of social determinants of health could be useful to flag patients at risk of delay and due timely intervention for modifiable treatment barriers. The prediction of the risk of treatment delay will be helpful to design another study using electronic tracking systems to prevent cancer treatment delays. The long-term goal of this research is to alert care teams when patients may be at risk of treatment days and to help patients get treatment faster. It was planned to enroll a total of 240 subjects with newly diagnosed cancer. Sixty colorectal and 180 breast cancer patients will be included.

Feasibility of Electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) will be assessed as the proportion of subjects who responded to at least 4 out of offered 8 weekly ePRO.

Electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) confirming treatment initiation will be measured as the proportion of subjects who responded to at least one of the offered weekly ePRO) surveys.

Treatment Delay will be measured as the proportion of subjects not receiving ePRO-reported treatment.

If a subject reports on any weekly survey that they have started a treatment for their cancer, selected from a defined list of cancer treatment types this will be considered receiving treatment. Diagnostic procedures, imaging tests, and other medical interventions will not be considered receiving treatment. Patients who respond to surveys indicating no treatment throughout the 56 days of study participation, those who report treatment at a timepoint \>56 days from pathologic-confirmed diagnosis, as well as those who do not respond to surveys, will be considered as not receiving treatment for this endpoint.

Time to ePRO-reported treatment will be assessed as the time from the first documented pathologic confirmation of malignancy (or imaging evidence if biopsy was not obtained) to the first day of the week in which the patient reports receiving treatment as per.

Surveys are completed weekly; thus, the date of treatment is assumed to be the first day of the week in which the patient completes the survey and reports treatment initiation. For instance, if a patient completes a survey on day 32, reporting that they received treatment in the previous week, their date of treatment initiation is assumed to be day 26.

The proportion of treatment delay will be defined as days between the first documented pathologic confirmation of malignancy to the first therapeutic intervention longer than 56 days divided by the total number of consented patients. Dates will be identified by the study team using a structured abstraction form from either outside medical records captured in the EPIC or UNC EPIC records.

The purpose of this study is to develop a tool that can more accurately assess the intensity and kind of physical activity that a person performs. The experimental tool, which will use a mobile computing device as a way of automatically identifying when a certain activity is being performed and at what intensity, will be tested against a self reported paper diary of activities performed on a day to day basis. It is hoped that this study will increase understanding of the health benefits of certain types of physical activity performed in the home.

Engaging in regular physical activity that requires a moderate to vigorous effort is related to good health and a reduced risk of a multitude of diseases. Currently physical activity and health promotion research is limited by self- report data that is confounded by participants' ability to accurately remember and record their physical activity. A potentially new method of accurately assessing moderate-intensity physical activity is called context sensitive- ecological momentary assessment (CS-EMA). Mobile computing devices (personal computing devices, PDAs) that automatically identify when a specific type of physical activity (e.g., moderate-intensity physical activity) is being performed has the potential to provide valuable objective data for naturalistic, experimental, and clinical intervention research purposes, and has the potential for educational, recreational, and clinical applications. The goal of this exploratory study is to assess the accuracy of two methods of collecting data on moderate-intensity physical activity. The study will compare the use of a paper diary to collect self-reported data on moderate-intensity physical activities performed throughout the day to self-reported data collected using ecological momentary assessment methods which are facilitated by a PDA that cues the participant to record when specific intensity levels of physical activity are achieved. This study will also develop algorithms that will automatically identify specific types of physical activities being performed. The data collected from the heart rate monitor, motion sensor, and information requested directly from the participant via the PDA interface will be used to train pattern recognition systems to classify the intensity and type of physical activity being performed by the participant. This study will contribute to research on context- awareness and human activity recognition.
