To access to good quality biological samples is a prerequisite for high level translational research. The BIG-RENAPE study has been established by the French hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy centers involved in the management of peritoneal surface malignancies.

The main BIG-RENAPE study aim is to create a large multicentric and prospective repository for biological and tissue samples, which will provide a source of materials for a wide array of health related research studies - BIG-RENAPE Biobank-based research: i) validating known and promising biomarkers; ii) identifying new predictive and prognostic factors; iii) evaluating the impact of current health care strategies; iv) standardizing diagnostic and therapeutic management through guidelines; v) developing new drugs.

The BIG-RENAPE Biobank is certified according to NFS 96-900 as a service of processing, storage and transfer of high quality biological (plasma, serum, buffy coat) and tissue (formalin-fixed-paraffin-embedded) samples. Biospecimens are collected at each stage of diagnostic and therapeutic care. The patient and his derivates are anonymized and registered in a national web database reporting disease status, treatments, surgical procedures, pathological diagnosis, quality of life's assessment and long term follow-up. All participants have given their informed consent before any sample. The BIG-RENAPE study was approved by the local Ethical Committee, based on the assessed compliance to French regulatory rules.

Clinical and Biological Digestive Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Data Base From the French National Network of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies

Resistance to treatments (systemic and intraperitoneal chemotherapy, surgical procedures and targeted therapies) in patients treated for digestive peritoneal carcinomatosis is defined as a change of therapeutic strategy decided during a multidisciplinary meeting.

The biological and tumoral factors related to resistance of oncological treatments will be identified from the laboratory tests results and histological analyses.

Impact of therapeutics strategies on the incidence of recurrence and survival

The Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS) is used as a self-administered measure of functional social support for chronically ill persons. The 19 items cover four domains (emotional/informational support, tangible support, positive social interaction, and affection).

The EORTC QLQ-C30 is a questionnaire developed to assess the quality of life of cancer patients. It incorporates nine multi-item scales: five functional scales (physical, role, cognitive, emotional, and social); three symptom scales (fatigue, pain, and nausea and vomiting); and a global health and quality-of-life scale.

The QLQ-CR29 was administered with the QLQ-C30 core questionnaire. It is meant for use among colorectal cancer patients varying in disease stage and treatment modality. The module comprises 29 questions assessing the colorectal cancer-specific symptom scales (disease symptoms, side effects of treatment) and functional scales (body image, sexuality, and future perspective).

The QLQ-STO22 was administered with the QLQ-C30 core questionnaire. The QLQ-STO22 module contains 22 items regarding dysphagia, pain, reflux, eating restrictions, anxiety, dry mouth, body image, and hair loss.

The patient's perception intensity of pain is measured with a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).

Epidemiological and demographic factors will be assessed from the prospective and clinical database.

The prognostic and predictive biomarkers related to resistance of oncological treatments will be identified from the biological tumoral and clinical data.

The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), a self-assessment scale, is used to detect states of depression, anxiety and emotional distress amongst patients who were being treated for a variety of clinical problems.

The purpose of the study is to isolate and characterize stem cells of patients with Polycythemia Vera (PV) and Essential Thrombocythemia (ET) to find out why these cells are not working the way they should be and why they seem to be sensitive to regulatory factors in the blood, such as clotting.

Specific Aim 1: Assess the effects of RG7112 on MPN HSC/HPC p53 levels and study how it affects MPN stem cell function.

Treatment Strategies for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms by Targeting the Tumor Suppressor P53

Assess the effects of RG7112 on MPN HSC/HPC p53 levels and study how it affects MPN stem cell function.

Assess the effects of a combination of low doses of IFNα and RG7112 on MPN HSC/HPC. After treatment with RG7112 and IFNα at the various doses, p53, MDM2, MDMX, phosphor-p38, and phosphor-STAT1 levels in MPN CD34+ cells will be measured using monoclonal antibody staining and flow cytometric and immunofluorescence analyses.

The goal of this clinical research study is to create a registry (research database) of clinical data about patients who receive radiation therapy, with or without hormone therapy, to treat prostate cancer that has come back after surgical removal of the prostate. This treatment is standard and the actual treatment is not part of this protocol.

The goal of this clinical research study is to create a registry (research database) of clinical data about patients who receive radiation therapy, with or without hormone therapy, to treat prostate cancer that has come back after surgical removal of the prostate. Researchers want to collect data and use this registry to learn about the long-term status of prostate cancer after these treatments.

This is an investigational study.

Up to 500 patients will take part in this study. All will be enrolled at MD Anderson, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, and/or MD Anderson Cancer Center Albuquerque.

Standard Treatment:

If you are found to be eligible and you choose to take part, you will be enrolled in this study. Study participants will be those who are receiving the standard radiation treatment for prostate cancer, which has come back after surgical removal of the prostate. If your PSA level is lower, you will receive radiation alone. If your PSA level is higher, you will receive hormone therapy in addition to radiation. You will sign a separate consent form that will describe these treatments and their risks in more detail. This study requires no other treatment. The main purpose of this study is data gathering through the use of questionnaires and tissue banking.

Follow-Up Tests

After your treatment (radiation with or without hormone therapy), you will receive routine follow-up care. The results of the following routine tests will be entered into the registry:

* After completing radiation, blood (about 1 tablespoon) will be drawn to check your PSA levels every 3 months for the first 2 years, every 6 months for the next 3 years, and every year from then on.
* If you receive hormone therapy, additional blood (about 1 tablespoon) will be drawn to check the levels of testosterone hormone. These blood tests to check your testosterone levels will be drawn at the same time as your PSA blood tests, until your testosterone levels are in the normal range.
* Every 6 months for the first 2 years after completing radiation, you will have a physical exam and a digital rectal exam. After that, the physical exam and digital rectal exam will be repeated every year from then on.

Information Collection:

While you are on study, on a long-term basis, researchers will collect information from your medical records about the status of the disease. This information will be entered into the registry. To identify you, the registry uses your medical record number instead of your name or other identifying information. The registry is password-protected to keep the data secure.

Length of Study Participation:

You will be on study for as long as you agree to keep taking part. If you go off study, your data will no longer be entered into the registry.

The purpose of the registry will be to support ongoing research in the etiology, early diagnosis, clinical management, and prognosis of lung cancer and other cancers and diseases of the thorax by developing a complete repository of specimens from patients with thoracic disease including but not limited to suspected lung cancer, mediastinal and pleural tumors, lung transplants and from patients at a very high risk of developing other thoracic cancers or other thoracic diseases.

The primary objective of this proposal is to develop a Thoracic Specimen Registry at Mayo Clinic. The purpose of the registry will be to support ongoing research in the etiology, early diagnosis, clinical management, and prognosis of lung cancer and other cancers and diseases of the thorax by developing a complete repository of specimens from patients with thoracic disease including but not limited to suspected lung cancer, mediastinal and pleural tumors, lung transplants and from patients at a very high risk of developing other thoracic cancers or other thoracic diseases. Collected specimens will include peripheral blood, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid, pleural fluid, tissue (surgical resections \& biopsies) and touch prep samples. The specimens will be stored in a central location at Mayo Clinic and managed by the Mayo Clinic Thoracic Specimen Registry Steering Committee. The registry will be a foundation for the development and implementation of research protocols and clinical trials that will enhance current knowledge of etiology and detection, discovery of new molecular and biochemical markers for screening, early diagnosis, and develop state-of-the-art therapeutic and preventive interventions for managing patients with, or at risk for, thoracic cancers or other thoracic diseases.

A blood sample will be collected at the time of consent/baseline. Optional subsequent blood draws maybe requested no more frequently than every 8 weeks. Patients scheduled for their clinically indicated thoracic procedure and have excess of clinical diagnostic tissue available will have tissue kept in the registry for future research. Patients scheduled for their clinical indicated bronchoscopy or CT guided procedure may have a sample go through the Touch Prep process and slides/cells will be kept for future research.

Patients scheduled for clinically indicated bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage BAL or Thoracentesis (TAP) procedure as part of that procedure may have fluid that is in excess of clinical diagnostic material, saved of future research. In addition, at the time of any future clinically indicated blood draws, thoracic procedures, thoracic resections, or metastatic thoracic primary tumors resections from other organs tissue will be requested for the research study.

Patients with malignant pleural effusion who underwent pleural biopsies and blood tests under general anesthesia

Interventions will consist of a diagnostic and symptomatic videothoracoscopy in patients with pleural metastasis under general anesthesia, as part of a standard of care procedure. Fragments of these pleural biopsies (one for routine diagnosis and two for scientific purposes) will enrich the biocollection. Five blood samples will be taken at the time of surgery (3 to 5 ml / tube). These biological samples will be stored in the HCL CRB tumor bank. At the same time, patient demographic data will be collected and anonymized. In the long term, the biological material will be used by IARC for carrying out multi-omics and bioinformatics analyzes

Malignant pleural effusion is a common evolution of various cancers and is associated with poor prognosis and quality of life. About 28% of patients with primary malignancy will develop pleural metastasis. Malignant pleural effusion mostly occurs in lung, breast, ovarian and gastric cancers. Median survival ranges from 3 to 13 months according to primary malignancy. Currently, the therapeutic approach is mainly palliative with videothoracoscopic talc pleurodesis or indwelling pleural catheters insertion eventually associated with systemic chemotherapy if patient's general condition allows.

In a early-disseminated tumor cells profile, metastatic cells can accumulate alterations at a distant site and have a different profil from the original tumor cells. Metastatic cells can also accumulate alterations in the course if systemic treatments. Consequently, they may respond differently to drugs.

Recently, EGFR mutations and ALK status discordance between primary tumors and pleural metastases have been demonstrated in a significant portion of lung adenocarcinomas. These studies, realized on malignant pleural effusion isolated cells, enabled us to hypothesize a possible intratumoral heterogeneity within pleural metastases, but no study has been carried out on pleural tissue.

Our aim is to create a biocollection with tissues from pleural carcinomatosis in order to subsequently allow multiomics and bioinformatics analyzes and to characterize a possible intratumoral heterogeneity in pleural metastasis.

The investigators are researching patients with diseases of their plasma cells in order to improve their quality and length of life. The investigators have created a database of patient information, blood samples, and bone marrow tissue in order to achieve the following three goals:

* Surveillance: The investigators want to track what treatments patients get or don't get, how effective they are, how they feel, what complications they suffer, how long they stay in remission, and how long they live.
* Contact: Because myeloma and amyloidosis are rare, less than 700 patients are diagnosed in the state of Ohio each year, patients often feel they don't have accurate information. The investigators want to provide them access to our clinical team (both phone and email consultations, even office visits for patients that can come to Columbus) as well as information regarding informational events pertaining to your disease and local support groups.
* Research: Because nearly all myeloma and amyloid patients relapse and treatment is eventually unsuccessful, our focus is to develop more effective treatments that not only prolong life, but cure the disease. Periodically the investigators will inform them about clinical trials studying new drugs or treatment paradigms.

The investigators propose to contact and interact with all patients with plasma cell dyscrasias in the State of Ohio (and all patients diagnosed or treated at Ohio State Medical Center) for both surveillance and research purposes in order to develop interventions targeted to decrease their morbidity and mortality.

Buckeye Surveillance, Contact, and Research for Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis

Establish a database of myeloma patients diagnosed or living in the state of Ohio to track myeloma disease course, patient reported outcomes, morbidity, and patient survival.

Provide two-way communication with patients by providing information regarding multiple myeloma, local support groups, and standard of care procedures through active contact procedures

Offer patients, and occasionally spouses and family members, the opportunity to participate in tissue banking, observational, patient reported outcomes, and therapeutic clinical trials for their plasma cell dyscrasia.
