Patients who meet the conditions of pathohistological diagnosis of leukoplakia and clinical criteria for diagnosis of non-homogeneous leukoplakia.

Intervention using Er:YAG laser

Patients who meet the conditions of pathohistological diagnosis of leukoplakia and clinical criteria for diagnosis of non-homogeneous leukoplakia.

Ablation of the lesions Device: Er:YAG laser (LightWalker AT, Fotona, Slovenia, 2013) with a non-contact X-Runner digitally controled hand-piece.

Settings for the Er:YAG laser were as follows: pulse mode was Quantum Square Pulse (QSP), pulse energy of 120mJ, frequency of 20Hz and water sprey level was set to10ml per minute.

Ablation of the lesions Device: Er,Cr:YSGG laser(WaterLase iPlus, Biolase LTD, USA) using contact mode. Settings were subsequent: power 50W, frequency 50Hz and concentration ratio of air and water was 2:4.

Oral leukoplakia is a precancerous lesion with relatively high malignant transformation potential. They are often treated by wide surgical excisions or conservative retinoids therapy. The use of high power ablative lasers has been proposed as an effective way of treating these lesions safely. The aim of this study was to evaluate efficiency Er:YAG and Er,Cr:YSGG laser, in the treatment of oral leukoplakia.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of two high-power ablative lasers in the treatment of oral leukoplakia. Furthermore, the purpose was to compare reciprocally and evaluate the subjective and objective postoperative parameters for two different tested ablative lasers, Er: YAG and Er, Cr: YSGG.

All the patients were referred to the Department of Oral Medicine or Oral Surgery where a biopsy and measuring the size of lesion that meet the criteria of the histopathological diagnosis of leukoplakia was performed. Patients who met the conditions of pathohistological diagnosis of leukoplakia and clinical criteria for diagnosis of non-homogeneous leukoplakia, were included in the research.

The patients were randomly allocated into one of the two test groups. In the first group of patients leukoplakia lesion were removed using high-power ablative laser Er: YAG and to those in the second group using high power ablative Er, Cr: YSGG laser.

The patients were monitored one year and six months after treatment to evaluate subjective and objective parameters focused on life quality after treatment and in case of eventual relapse. Criteria of effectiveness for lasers were appearance of relaps in one year and six months following.

Comparison Between Two Different High Power Ablative Lasers in the Treatment of Oral Leukoplakia

At a recall visit after six months there were no recurrence of all leukoplakia which were ablated by use of Er:YAG and Er;Cr:YSGG laser.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) has become one of the most common malignant tumors in the world, and the key to its prevention and control is early detection and treatment. As colorectal adenoma and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are the inevitable precursors of most CRC, screening for colorectal adenoma and IBD is of great importance for preventing CRC. The existing detection methods have high sensitivity for CRC, while limited in colorectal adenoma and IBD. Therefore, exploring a detection method with high sensitivity for colorectal adenoma and IBD is necessary. This project intends to use methylation detection technology, lactic acid modified omics, proteomics, metagenomics, and other omics technology, through the analysis of differences in feces and histological results in healthy volunteers, patients with non-advanced adenoma, patients with advanced adenomas, patients with IBD, and patients with CRC for early screening.

Feces and colon histological specimens will be obtained in healthy individuals, patients with non-advanced adenoma, patients with advanced adenomas, patients with Inflammatory bowel disease, and patients with colon cancer.

One of the limitations of organized cervical screening in the Czech Republic is the lack of participation in preventive gynecological examinations. The aim of the project is to evaluate the benefits of self-sampling for HPV DNA in general practitioners' outpatient clinics to improve population participation in cervical screening.

Organized cervical screening in the Czech Republic has a long-term participation rate of about 56% of the target population. Despite active invitations through health insurance companies, a part of the population is resistant and does not participate in screening visits to gynaecologists in the long term. A significant proportion of such women, however, regularly visit their general practitioner due to other comorbidities. The aim of the ASTRA project is to assess whether an effective way to increase the proportion of women attending cervical screening is to perform self-testing for HPV DNA in the GP's office.

Based on the gastric cancer database established earlier, this project explored the PG standard suitable for Chinese people, and further explored the establishment of machine learning model to stratify gastric cancer risk in the population, guide the frequency of gastroscopy screening, and extract important gastric cancer risk factors from it.Establish electronic health records of gastric organs, track the development and outcome of gastric diseases through deep learning method, in order to predict the development and outcome of gastric diseases;Then, the simulation hypothesis deductive method is used to compare the outcomes that may be caused by different lifestyles with the help of deep learning model, so as to guide patients to develop a better lifestyle and explore the establishment of health management paths for gastric cancer patients and high-risk groups in China.

Microscopic colitis (MC) is an inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic non-bloody watery diarrhoea and a macroscopically normal colonic mucosa upon endoscopic exploration (colonoscopy). The diagnosis is performed by microscopic examination of mucosal biopsies that reveal specific histopathological change. Between 4-20% of patients with chronic non-bloody diarrhoea who undergo colonoscopy with serial biopsies are diagnosed with MC.

It has long been hypothesized that the microbiome plays a key role in the pathogenesis of MC. In patients with collagenous colitis, faecal stream diversion results in inflammation and histological remission, followed by disease relapse after intestinal transit is reconstructed. Moreover, studies carried out with faecal samples obtained after colonoscopy have demonstrated microbiome changes (reduced alpha diversity and higher microbial dysbiosis index) in patients with active MC. To avoid potential bias due to the effect of colonic lavage prior to colonoscopy in microbiota composition, the researchers of the present study previously evaluated the microbiome in faecal samples obtained before the diagnostic colonoscopy in patients with active MC. The results confirmed a reduced alpha diversity in diarrhoea groups; however, there were no differences between MC, bile-acid diarrhoea and functional diarrhoea. The microbial dysbiosis index was significantly higher in MC compared to the other diarrheal groups, but no bacterial species showed a significantly different relative abundance. On the other hand, the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) or adenoma seems to be reduced in MC compared to controls. Growing evidence suggests microbial dysbiosis is a crucial environmental factor in the initiation of precancerous lesions of CRC such as adenomas.

The objective of the current multicentric prospective study is to assess the differences in the mucosa adherent intestinal microbiome between patients with MC, non-MC chronic diarrhoea, healthy controls and patients with advanced colon adenomas. In addition to the study of the microbiome, sociodemographic variables, history of drug usage, diets and specific characteristics of diarrhoea will be collected.

The hypothesis of the present study is that CM presents a specific mucosa adherent intestinal bacterial profile that may be relevant in the pathogenesis of the disease and that, additionally, may also play a protective role against the development of CRC and adenomas.

We operated a multicenter cross-sectional study of subjects who underwent health checkup at nine International Healthcare Centers in China. All participants underwent gastroscopy and pathological examination, serum PG, 13C-urea breath test, and/or Hp serological current infection marker rapid test, all on the same day. Invitation for oral cavity cancer screening

In the Somme region of France, cancer registry data showed an increasing incidence of oral cancer. The Incidence Rates in Somme as compared to the national rates for Lip, Oral Cavity and Pharynx Cancer were in 2010: 31,4/100 000 Standard population versus 18,2 /100 000 for male and 8,2/100 000 versus 5,5/100 000 for female, disaster area where action to improve early detection for smokers will be assessed. This target population consults late (as 70% of oral cavity cancers are diagnosed at a late stage (T3 or T4). This project is an innovative incentive strategy for screening among general practitioners based on unusual information vectors (tobacconist, local media).

The main objective of this study is a screening of oral cavity cancers in tobacco users aged 30-75 years in the Somme region of France.

Methodology:

* Education and alerting physicians to the early detection of cancers of oral cavity and coordination of networks involved for 1 year.
* Incentive period for the screening by the tobacconist who distributes with every package of cigarettes bought a flyer of invitation to the screening.
* Carrying out screening examinations by general practitioners with completion of the customized examination forms, orientation towards a specialist, data collection and evaluation.
